# How do Oil Samples work?

## Machine Sentry® can be used to schedule and then store all oil sample readings via our partnered laboratories.

With Machine Sentry® you don't have to have a separate system to store and display your oil sampling results. The platform will bring this data into the system direct from the lab. The whole process is shown below:

The data is trended against editable alarms, with full lab comments/analysis and accessible historically.
