# Does the tablet need to be connected to the internet to allow the app to work?

Data can be collected offline via Bluetooth® once you have synchronized your site via an internet connection. To synchronize the data you have collected to the portal you will need to connect back to an internet connection. Users can use a fully offline version of the app which can be used for evaluation of the sensors, this doesn't not allow any data to be processed to the cloud and all data is held on the tablet only.
